What is Gift.me?
Gift.me is a free universal wishlist and private gifting platform. You create a @handle, add items from any store to your wishlist, share your gift.me/@handle link, and receive gifts without ever sharing your home address.
Is Gift.me free?
Yes, completely free. There's no subscription fee, no premium tier, and no cost for gift senders either.
How do I get started?
Go to gift.me/create, create a free account, claim your @handle, and start adding items from any store by pasting product URLs.
What is a @handle?
Your @handle is your permanent gifting identity, a unique URL like gift.me/@yourname that anyone can visit to see your wishlist and send you gifts.
Can I add items from any store?
Yes. Paste any product URL from Amazon, Etsy, Target, Nike, Apple, or any online retailer and the item details (image, title, price) populate automatically.
How many items should I add?
We recommend 8–15 items across at least 3 price points: a few items under $30 for casual gifters, some in the $30–75 range, and at least one higher-value item for close family or milestone occasions.
Can I keep some items private on my wishlist?
Yes. You can set individual items or your entire wishlist to private, and only share with people you choose.
Can I add experiences (not just products) to my wishlist?
Yes. You can add links to Airbnb Experiences, event tickets, class bookings, or any URL with a product/service page.
Does the gift sender see my home address?
Never. Gift.me routes all orders through our private delivery system (powered by our RealGifts fulfillment partner). Your home address is never revealed to the person sending you a gift.
How does private delivery work?
When someone purchases an item from your wishlist, the order routes through Gift.me's fulfillment system. Only a Gift.me-managed address is involved in the shipping process, your personal address is never shared.
Is my location shared with other users?
No exact location is ever shared. Gift.me uses approximate proximity for location-based discovery (showing you wishlists from people nearby), but your exact GPS coordinates are never visible to anyone.
Can I use Gift.me anonymously?
You can set your account to private and only share your @handle with people you trust. Location discovery is optional.
Does the person viewing my wishlist need a Gift.me account?
No. Anyone can view your wishlist at gift.me/@yourname and purchase from it without creating an account.
What happens when someone buys from my wishlist?
The purchased item is marked on your wishlist to prevent duplicates. You receive a notification that a gift is on its way, and it ships to you through private delivery.
How do I share my wishlist?
Share your gift.me/@handle link anywhere, text message, Instagram bio, Discord, email, or any link platform. One link works everywhere.
Can I use Gift.me for Secret Santa, group gifts, or office gifting?
Yes. Each participant creates a free @handle wishlist. The organizer shares everyone's links, and buyers shop from the assigned person's list. No address collection needed.
